Notre Dame de Bon Port, Our Lady of the Good Port. This church was built by Richelieu, the great cardinal who founed the absolute monarchy. His object was to humiliate the Protestants who were still resistant to the authority of his king, Louis XVIII and the next Louis XIV, who would chase most all of them out of France.
